Why PBOC cuts 1.08%

People's Bank of China cuts benchmark rates by 108 basis points yesterday. Why?

Does the government want to save the economy from recession. That's for sure. Remember its 4 trillion Yuan stimulus pan. By reducing interest rates? No, I don't think so.

China's economy is rarely affected by interest rate adjustment. Interest rates of banks' lending is always limited by the law. It is very difficult to say the lending market is a free market. And it's always difficult to reach a economic target, because it does not follow economic rules。
Then, why PBOC slashed the rates? I think the government just want to force the money out of bank. Its huge stimulus plan needs mountains of money. They don't want to print too much, because inflation is still a big problem even now. On this situation, reducing rates is the best (mid)way to help China government itself raising money. Well done!
